PIT BULL GETS LOOSE IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Seven children were lightly bitten and scratched Monday afternoon after a stray male pit bull got into a Charlotte, North Carolina, elementary school and began chasing students as they fled for cover. All seven victims suffered minor injuries, but an ambulance was not called. The incident happened at Lansdowne Elementary School shortly before 1:30 p.m. The stray dog first came into the school’s playground area while the children were outside playing. School staff escorted children into the school as a precaution. However, the dog managed to get inside and chaos ensued, as some of the children were frightened and reacted by running and making noise. The dog became overstimulated and began to jump on and bite some of the children. A teacher was able to grab the dog and contact its owner from information on the animal’s collar tag. The owner picked up the dog and left the school before Animal Care and Control arrived. (* Oh, you bet he did!) The dog is 10 months old and his name is “Bro.”
* Short for “Brontosaurus”.
* Boy, I’ll bet the underwear aisle at Walmart was crowded THAT night.
* The kids’ nightmares should go away by the Fourth of July.
* This is why all teachers should be supplied with their own pit bulls.
* This is why all teachers should be trained in the art of the belly rub.
