PASSENGER FIGHTS WITH OFF-DUTY PILOT AFTER FLIGHT

It’s open season on airline employees. An irate American Airlines passenger was caught on video shoving an off-duty pilot at Kansas City International Airport shortly after both got off their flight on April 12. The passenger, Edward N. Foster, 49, claimed the pilot, who was just flying as a passenger, was taking up too much room in the aisle and being disrespectful. Once off the plane and inside the airport, Foster tried to snap a picture of the pilot’s badge, but the pilot raised his left hand to get the phone out of his face. Foster then shoved the pilot twice, causing him to fall backward over his luggage. Foster was cited for intentionally inflicting bodily injury.
* Unlike the guys who gave Dr. Dao a concussion.
* Coming this summer: “Airport 2017: Oh, It’s On!”
* Out of habit, that United CEO just came out and apologized for this too.
* This explains the new expression: “Take it outside the plane.”
* I just wish we could hear the trash-talking as it happened: “You airlines want extra fees? Okay, how much for a can of whup-ass?”
* Wait, this is historic. We have charges here that aren’t part of some new airline fee.
* An irate airline passenger? Isn’t that a little redundant?
