PAPERBOY STABBED, CONTINUES ON HIS ROUTE
An Anchorage Daily News carrier was assaulted by three men during an early-morning delivery in East Anchorage. Residents of an apartment building called 911 around 7 a.m. after they found a trail of blood in the hallway and at least two bloody newspapers in front of people’s doors. Patrol officers located the carrier at his residence around 8 a.m. The carrier, who was not identified, told them three men attacked him around 3:30 a.m., but he kept delivering newspapers on his bike. He was unclear on how the assault happened and why he didn’t call 911 right away. He was hospitalized with lacerations, but his wounds were not life threatening.
* He was named an honorary Australian.
* Hey – what’s black and white and red all over? The Anchorage Daily News.
* “Extra, extra! Read all about me!”
* Great. Only a handful of newspapers left running, and THIS has to happen.
* Maybe they were angry that he never threw the paper all the way up on the porch?
* The Anchorage Daily News probably gave the guy an extra quarter for his dedication.
