ONE DATE, FOLLOWED BY 65,000 TEXTS
An Arizona woman was arrested earlier this week for allegedly stalking a man after they went on a single date. Thirty-one-year-old Jacqueline Ades of Phoenix became obsessed with the man – unidentified in this story – she met last summer through an online dating website. They went on one date. After that, here’s what she did:
– Started texting him, a total of 65,000 texts over the course of a year. One time she sent 500 texts in one day.
– Repeatedly visited his home and office.
– Last summer, the victim reportedly called the cops when he found Ades parked outside his home. Officers escorted her off the property. She had a butcher knife in her car.
– After that, she started sending texts like: “Oh what would I do w ur blood! … I’d wanna bathe in it,” and “Don’t ever try to leave me… I’ll kill you… I don’t wanna be a murderer.”
– In another text, she called herself the “new Hitler.”
– A month ago, the man called police when surveillance footage showed her taking a bath in his tub when he was away on a trip. She was arrested but later released and never showed up for her court date.
– On Tuesday, she went to the man’s place of work in Scottsdale, and was escorted from the building.
