NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS: DON’T EVEN BOTHER
Prepare to be shocked! According to research conducted by Strava, a social network for athletes, people don’t stick with their New Year’s resolutions for very long. After analyzing more than 31.5 million online global activities, Strava was able to pinpoint the date when most people report failing their resolution: January 12th. The study finds that just 8 percent of people achieve their New Year’s goals, while around 80 percent fail, falling into a pit of disappointment and self-loathing.
* (We added that last part.)
* Remember – nobody likes a quitter, except gyms that charge an annual membership fee.
* So, if you made a resolution to gain weight, would you fail and then slim down?
* Thanks, social network for athletes, for throwing shade on the rest of us.
* Merry Christmas, Strava, and may you pull a groin muscle in the New Year.
