MOM BULLIES SCHOOL INTO LETTING DAUGHTER ONTO CHEERLEADING TEAM
At Hanover Park High School in New Jersey, one girl didn’t make the 10-member cheerleading squad. Her mother went to the school and complained. The school changed policy: now everyone who tries out gets to make the team. When asked to do away with the new rule, the school threatened to scrap the 10-member squad altogether — telling parents and students that everyone makes the team, or nobody does. They want to make cheerleading more “inclusive”. The girls who legitimately earned their place are not happy. Cheerleader Stephanie Krueger complained, “All my hard work has been thrown out the window. I tried my hardest. Now everything is going away because of one child who did not make the team, and their parent complained.”
