MCDONALD'S ELIMINATING HAPPY MEAL CHEESEBURGER

As part of an ongoing initiative to make its food healthier for kids, McDonald’s plans to remove the cheeseburger and chocolate milk options from its Happy Meal menu by 2022. The adults are not taking this very well. Some of the tweets:
– “I love you, McDonalds, but removing cheeseburgers from the Happy Meal is blasphemy.”
– “This is pointless. You are going there because your kid wants a Happy Meal, not a ‘Healthy meal'”.
– “In other news, @McDonalds changes name to Sad Meals.” (* Hey! WE’LL handle the jokes, thanks.)
– “The idea that @McDonalds is going to remove Cheeseburgers from their happy meals, or that it is going to take 5 years to implement, is beyond stupid. 1. Their is no logistical reason it should take a fraction of 5 years. 2. Removing cheeseburgers is abandoning your core identity.”
– “McDonald’s removing cheese from the Happy Meal burger but won’t decrease the cost. This will save them $$$$ and in addition spinning it to their advantage by marketing “healthy” food. None of its healthy but consumers will fall for it. Kudos to McDonald’s marketing team. Well played.”
* Wow. Those last couple of guys really thought things through.
* Never try to fool a marketing major.
* In McDonald’s defense, it takes about four years to scrape all the cheese off one of their cheeseburgers.
* No chocolate milk? Smart. That will reduce a kid’s typical weekly chocolate intake by one gabillionth of one percent.
* You think this is a dumb move? They’re also replacing the toys in a Happy Meals with geography quizzes.
