MAN WITH NO TESTICLES GETS ONE OF HIS TWIN BROTHER’S

A 36-year-old man born without testicles was given one by his identical twin brother in a risky, six-hour operation in Serbia. A team of international surgeons operated on both brothers at the same time, working against the clock in the intricate procedure that included stitching together two arteries and two veins less than 2 millimeters wide. Said one of the surgeons, “Once you remove the testicle from the donor, the clock starts ticking very fast.” The Serbian brothers, who asked not to be identified, were doing well, with the recipient already showing normal testosterone levels — one of the goals of the surgery that will allow him to father children. The successful surgery could be a breakthrough for transgender people, accident victims, wounded soldiers and cancer patients. However, it also opens up an ethical minefield if the recipient has children produced by the donor’s sperm, as there would be a question as to who’s technically the father.
* On behalf of those children, may I answer: “The one with the most money.”
* It’s the 21st Century. What DOESN’T open up an ethical minefield?
* They know he has normal testosterone levels ’cause on the way home he had road rage and beat up a guy.
* “I cried because I had no shoes, until I met a man with no testicles.” Is that how that goes?
* How did that conversation with his brother go? “So, Vlado, I was talking with my doctor, and he had this crazy idea…”
* You know how he responded? “Nuts to you.”
