MAN TOSSED OFF BRIDGE FOR INTERVENING IN COUPLE'S SPAT
Police in Derby, Connecticut, say a man threw another man 45 feet off a bridge because he intervened in an argument between the suspect and his girlfriend. Police say Gregory Rottjer, his girlfriend, and another friend, were arguing as they walked across the Housatonic River back on Thanksgiving morning, around 1 a.m. The victim, who was also on the bridge with his brother, asked Hannum if she was OK, which prompted Rottjer and his friend to start a fight that ended with the victim being tossed over the rail and into the water. Police charged Gregory Rottjer with attempted murder, and his friend Matthew Dorso with assault. The girlfriend was charged with lying to police.
* The guy in the river was charged with being a buttinsky.
* So, which of the couples won the argument?
* “Oh, Gregory, I can’t believe you threw a man off a bridge just for me! I’m sorry, baby. You were right.”
* I believe this is called “giving someone the old heave-ho”.
* Other than that, how was their Thanksgiving?
* Now here’s R. Kelly with “I Believe I Can Fly”.
