MAN TO GIVE WIFE HIS KIDNEY FOR 20TH ANNIVERSARY

A Sufflok, Virginia, man is giving his wife his kidney for their 20th wedding anniversary instead of traditional china. Cindy Chafian suffers from polycystic kidney disease. Her husband Scott had wanted to donate his kidney to his wife for the last six years, but she wouldn’t take it until her condition deteriorated. Now, she says, she’s hit rock bottom and said, “OK, I’m ready.” The transplant surgery is scheduled for January 24 – the day before their 20th anniversary. The family is accepting wedding gifts in the form of donations at GoFundMe. They need money for the surgery, and for while they are not working during recovery. As of Monday, a total of $1,835 of their $5,000 goal was raised.
