MAN STUCK IN MANHOLE FOR THREE DAYS

In Houston, Texas, a man was rescued from a 14-foot manhole in which he spent several days without food or water. A construction crew was working overnight near the South Sam Houston Parkway when they heard screams for help about 3 a.m. Monday. The workers gave the man Cheetos and bottled water until help arrived. It took emergency responders about an hour to remove the unnamed man. The man, who had been living under a nearby bridge, said he had been in the hole since Friday. He was walking through a field when he fell into the manhole. He was taken to an area hospital with a possible broken foot. Officials believe flooding from Hurricane Harvey may have caused the cover to come off the hole.
* Careful – this is how “Invasion of the Mole People” began.
* Cheetos, bottled water … toss in a tablet with wifi and Netflix, and it’s not so bad.
* Manhole, or Man Cave?
* Usually, when people fall into manholes, they’re busy texting.
