MAN FAKED HEART ATTACK 20 TIMES TO DINE-AND-DASH
A Lithuanian man has been arrested and jailed for faking heart attacks at least 20 times, staging “dine-and-dash” episodes to avoid paying at various restaurants along the Spanish Mediterranean coast. The unidentified man would always order a “Russian salad” and down several glasses of top-shelf whiskey before “theatrically” pretending to faint and fall on the floor. The man was taking advantage of a loophole in Spanish law, which considers incidents in which only a “small amount” of money is involved to be minor crimes. So, he was fined but then refused to pay, landing him in jail for 42 days. The restaurant owners are reportedly considering filing a joint complaint, which could lead to a longer prison sentence for the man.
* When he heard the news, he dropped to the floor, out cold.
* He also got a charge out of the defibrillation treatments.
* A salad and booze. Sounds more like drink-and-dash.
* A traditional Russian salad is potatoes, carrot, eggs, pickles, peas, ham, dill, and mayonnaise, 260 calories, 12 grams of fat. That’s a lot of fat. It could to a heart attack.
