MAN CRASHES PLANE INTO BABY SHOWER LOCATION IN ATTEMPT TO KILL WIFE

Today in “How Crazy Are You?”, a South African pilot crashed a small plane kamikaze-style into a clubhouse in an attempt to kill his wife, who was attending a baby shower there. Pilot Charl Viljoen had first shown up uninvited at the shower held at the Matsieng Aerodome in Botswana, near the South African border. He had a dispute with his wife there that turned physical. Then Viljoen allegedly drove to Botswana’s capital, Gaborone, stole a small aircraft and flew it over the venue multiple times at a low level. At one point, he had called his friend, who was also at the venue, asking if his wife was still there. After the phone call, the friend started shouting at everybody – about 50 people – to run away from the building. Then Viljoen slammed the plane into the facility, taking his own life. Miraculously, no one else was hurt, but the clubhouse was destroyed in a fiery wreck.
