MAN BOOBY TRAPPED FRONT DOOR TO ELECTROCUTE WIFE

A Palm Coast, Florida, man was arrested for rigging the front door of his home to electrocute his estranged, pregnant wife. Investigators says Michael Wilson, 32, attached a car battery charger to the handle and deadbolt of the front door. Fortunately for Wilson’s wife, she never took hold of the door knob. She told her stepfather, who became suspicious after she told him that Wilson had warned her not to let a child touch the door. The stepfather contacted authorities, who found the booby trap. Wilson’s wife told police that a few months ago, her husband fell, but he refused to seek medical treatment, and since that time his behavior had become increasing bizarre. He was involuntarily taken into custody for mental evaluation back in November. The ploy, which could have easily led to her death, was to have her insert the house key and then grab the handle, completing the circuit and sending a jolt of electricity through her arm, chest and heart.
