MAN BITES (POLICE) DOG

Vancouver Police officers responded to a Downtown Eastside social housing complex last Thursday where a man had allegedly threatened several people and kicked at a resident’s door. He fled when police arrived, but officers located him nearby. The suspect allegedly resisted arrest and bit Mando, a police dog assisting in the arrest. But with help from injured Mando, who bit back, officers were able to gain control of the man and place him in handcuffs. The suspect was treated at a hospital for his dog bite.
