MAN ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTING TO ROB GIRL SCOUT COOKIE STAND
Anthony Mira pleaded not guilty Wednesday to second-degree attempted robbery for reportedly trying to rob a Girl Scout and her mother outside a Tacoma grocery store on March 10. The 23-year-old Mira, along with an accomplice, tried to rob Girl Scout Haliyah Dubois the girl and her mother Jenny Dubois at a Fred Meyer supermarket. Mira came up to their table, made a move like he had a gun, and said, “Give me the money and you and your daughter won’t be hurt, no one will get hurt.” Mrs. Dubois stood up said, “Why are you doing this? Just walk away.” After a few moments they did, leaving without cash or cookies. Detectives looked at surveillance video, put out Mira’s picture, and tips from the community led to his arrest.
* They took a bite out of crime, and then a bite out of some Do-si-dos.
* He asked for the money? What an idiot. Always go for the Thin Mints.
* He could have gone inside and robbed the grocery store, but he wanted to go where the REAL money was.
* And then, he didn’t even rob the Girl Scout. How lame is that guy?
* The worst story ever to have to tell the other inmates.
* Not a very smart cookie.
