MAN AIMS FOR SNAKE, SHOOTS MOTHER-IN-LAW

A Conway, South Carolina, man claims he was aiming for a snake when he shot his mother-in-law in the foot. The man said his mother-in-law was leaving the family’s home after dinner, but returned after a snake on the front steps frightened her. The man pushed the snake away with a golf club and a shovel, but the snake slithered beneath the steps. The man went inside and got his gun. He got on the ground, aimed and fired, but the bullet went through the steps and into his mother-in-law’s left ankle. She was not seriously hurt. She was treated and released at a local hospital.
* And he got away with it.
* The guy did ask the hospital to de-fang his mother-in-law while they were at it.
