LONDON SCHOOL OFFERS PROGRAM IN “INTIMACY COORDINATION”

The Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in South London is now offering the “world’s first degree in intimacy practice.” An intimacy co-ordinator is the person hired in television and film production to help actors navigate sex scenes and nudity. Their job is “to bridge the vision of the director with the boundaries of the actors.” The course starts this fall. It’s a two-year program.
* Two years to learn to tell somebody, “Put your hand here, not there.”
* Was anybody else’s first thought: “Oh, a course in brothel management.”
* At least the homework will be interesting.
* Nice name for an academy teaching how to watch sex scenes – Mountview.
* If you want to see a live movie star naked, you’re going to have to put your two years in.
* Limited time offer! Soon all nudity will be CGI.
