KITTY NEEDS A BUTTHOLE
Cluck is a 10-day-old kitten with a life-threatening condition: She was born without a butthole. This is not a joke Cluck, who was rescued from the Los Angeles streets with her mother and other members of her litter, suffers from a condition called an imperforate anus. That means her urine and feces come out of the same hole, according to Shawn Simons of the Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats, a street cat rescue clinic. Cluck’s condition was discovered late last week, and she needs an operation very soon or she will die, Simons said. Right now, she’s nursing off her mom, so her feces is very liquidy, but when she gets on harder food, it will be impossible for her stool to pass through. Simons is raising money for an operation via a Crowdrise campaign called, again no kidding, “Kitty Needs A Butthole.” Simons hopes to raise $4,000 in the next week so that Cluck can get the anus she needs to survive.
* Me-ouch!!!
* There’s no pussyfooting around THAT request.
* I’m embarrassed to say that I once saw a video with this very same title.
* Veterinarians refer to this as Catstipation.
* Just think: with your dollars, and your thoughts and prayers, Cluck can grow up to ignore all humans except when it suits her, and destroy the furniture. Please help.
(note: if you want to add some drama to this story, play Sarah MacLaughlin’s “Arms of the Angels” underneath. Here’s the song on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SiylvmFI_8)
