ITALIAN MAFIA BOSS ON THE RUN FOR 30 YEARS ARRESTED

Italy’s most wanted man, Mafia boss Matteo Messina Denaro, was arrested Monday after three decades on the run. He was apprehended in the Sicilian capital, Palermo. Denaro, a convicted murderer and suspected bomber who has eluded authorities for 30 years, is thought to be the leader of the notorious Cosa Nostra organized crime group. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said in a statement that the arrest was “a great victory for the state that shows it never gives up in the face of the Mafia.”
* Let this be a lesson: the authorities will always catch you so you can’t continue your criminal ways —- except, you know, for the past 30 years.
* Sure NOW they catch him. He’s probably using a walker.
* Wait – convicted murderer? That means that sometime previously, they let him go. I’m getting less and less impressed.
* Why is there even a mafia anymore when you’ve got cryptocurrency and NFTs? You can make millions off of suckers legitimately, nobody will bat an eye.
* Now the search is on for the mob guy who took his place as leader of the Cosa Nostra while this one was being driven to the police station for booking.
