INCREDIBLY LARGE DIAMOND DISCOVERED IN BOTSWANA

A massive 2,492-carat diamond – just over one pound – has been discovered in Botswana by a Canadian mining company. The diamond, the second largest in the world, was discovered in the Karowe Diamond Mine in northeastern Botswana using x-ray detection technology. In terms of carats, the stone is second only to the 3,016-carat Cullinan Diamond discovered in South Africa in 1905. The stone, which is the size of the palm of your hand, has been estimated to be worth upwards of 40 million dollars. It was presented to Botswana President Mokgweetsi Masisi last Thursday.
* So the plan to sneak it out of the country didn’t work?
* Anyway, this is probably the last you’ll ever hear of it, but we thought you’d might like to know.
* The future Mrs. Mokgweetsi Masisi will be getting a lovely engagement ring.
* She’s gonna develop a nice bicep on that left arm lifting her hand up and down.
