HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT ASKS 8TH GRADERS TO PLAN THEIR OWN FUNERAL

Parents reacted angrily after St. Paul’s Catholic School in Leicester (pronounced LEH-ster), England, assigned 8th graders to plan their own funeral as homework during the lockdown. They were told to choose a style of coffin, type of flowers, favorite hymn and even their guest list. The youngsters were also asked if they’d prefer a traditional burial or a cremation. Parents were outraged, and St. Paul’s Catholic School has now apologized for the assignment.
* The kids were wondering if the school knew something they didn’t know.
* “Are you expecting another wave of Covid-19?”
* Like you don’t die from embarrassment enough in 8th grade.
* In 8th grade, you’re just hoping to survive gym class.
* What happens when you’re 90 and you die, and all your friends from 8th grade show up to the funeral?
