HARVARD PSYCHOLOGIST: USE THESE PHRASES EVERY DAY, BE HAPPIER
A Harvard-trained psychologist, Dr. Cortney S. Warren, says if you use any of these phrases with your partner, your relationship will be more successful than most others:
1. “I appreciate your effort.”
2. “I like you.”
3. “Help me better understand this.”
4. “I’m listening…”
5. “I’m sorry.”
7. “I am committed to you.”
8. “Let’s have some fun!”
9. “I love you.”
* Oh, my god – that’s my entire repertoire during sex. In that order.
* Women won’t have any problem with “Help me better understand this” ’cause they love having stuff mansplained to them.
* I find what works better is “We’re going out to dinner” and “Let’s stop at the jewelry store.”
* One of her other phrases is, “I went to Harvard and this is the best I could come up with.”
* Cortney put “I appreciate your effort” at #1 ’cause no one ever says it to her.
