HANDLER HEIMLICHS CHOKING PANDA
On Saturday, at the China Conservation and Research Center, a giant panda was saved by its handler who performed the Heimlich maneuver after it started choking on a piece of carrot. As the panda started choking, the worker rushed over to perform the life-saving maneuver, slapping the panda’s back in an attempt to remove the blockage, and finally shaking it back and forth until it spat the carrot out. According to zoo officials, Qingqing the panda is known for being incredibly mischievous and has been called “Crawling Coal” because he loves to roll in the dirt.
* How does he feel about the Big Dirt Nap?
* “Carrot Panda” is the PG-sequel to “Cocaine Bear.”
* Choking on a carrot. No wonder pandas are near extinction.
* So carrots are harder to chew than bamboo? Seriously?
