GROCERY CLERK CLEANED SHOPPING BASKETS WITH HIS OWN SALIVA

In Canada, Toronto resident Marta Casimiro was shopping in a local FreshCo supermarket when she spotted a grocery store employee spitting into a small white towel before using it to wipe down the plastic shopping baskets. Outraged and disgusted, she filmed the sickening act and reported it to the store’s manager. But the manager said he didn’t want to see the video. Casimiro said he didn’t believe her (* Of course not! Who has enough saliva to clean all those baskets?) and sent her away. She then sought help from higher-level management at FreshCo, and heard back many days later that the employee was “suspended.”
