GERMAN FOX STEALS NEIGHBORHOOD SHOES

A fox has been blamed for stealing about 100 shoes from outside people’s homes in Berlin, Germany. The culprit was discovered by Christian Meyer, a resident of the southwestern neighborhood of Zehlendorf, who found his running shoes had vanished. After posting a message about his missing sneakers on a local website, many others came forward with similar stories. And then, Meyer spotted the fox and managed to snap a picture of the critter with a pair of blue flip flops in his mouth. A search uncovered the fox’s impressive haul of multicolored footwear – slippers, sandals and sneakers – although Meyer’s running shoes were not among them.
