FREE WHOPPER IF YOU'VE BEEN FIRED THIS WEEK
This week, Burger King is offering free Whoppers to customers who were recently fired from their jobs. The “Whopper Severence” package is available through Friday (* NOW they tell us!). It’s available to anyone who was recently terminated, but first you have to “publicly confess on LinkedIn” that you were fired. Why are they doing this? Because Burger King flame broils their burgers using FIRE. Says a Burger King spokesperson: “While getting fired sucks, for Burger King restaurants, fire-grilling is a good thing.”
How it works:
– After typing out your “I’ve been fired” message and allowing Burger King to access your LinkedIn page, terminated employees will be sent a link in order to register for their full “Whopper Severance package,” which includes a gift card for a Whopper that will be sent to you. The company intends to distribute 2,500 free Whopper cards.
* Oops! None left – they’ve all been snatched up by ex-Trump Administration officials.
* The first free Whopper went to the person who was fired for thinking up this promotion.
* How about an idea that doesn’t leave everybody feeling depressed?
* You have no savings, no job prospects and you could end up homeless, but hey – a free big hamburger.
* Is it me, or would it just be less complicated to just go out and find another job?
* You’ve been fired, and you eat at Burger King. That’s two disappointments this week.
