FORMER JEOPARDY CHAMPION CHARGED WITH A FELONY
A former champion on “Jeopardy!” is facing possible prison time after being charged with two felonies. Stephanie Jass, of Tecumseh, Michigan, who formerly worked at Adrian College as a history professor, is accused of accessing several Adrian College email accounts without authorization. Jass has been charged with unauthorized access to a computer, as well as using a computer to commit a crime. Jass appeared on “Jeopardy!” more than 10 times. She had a seven-game winning streak in 2012, and also appeared on a Tournament of Champions and Battle of the Decades Tournament. She won approximately $166,000 from the show in all.
* Hope she saved some to pay lawyers.
* I don’t remember Stephanie Jass. But I’ve definitely heard of her husband, Hugh.
* During her interrogation, she kept giving her answers in the form of a question.
* She was a history professor, but that career’s history.
* “You can work in the prison laundry, the cafeteria, or the janitorial crew. Pick a category.”
