FORMER BRITISH MP COMPLAINS ABOUT SNAP, CRACKLE & POP: “THREE WHITE BOYS”

So who is Fiona Onasanya? Here’s some background. She’s a disgraced former member of Britain’s Parliament – one of only two people ever to be kicked out of Parliament by a recall from her own constituents. She gave false testimony when accused in two speeding incidents, then was convicted and served a prison sentence for the crime of “perverting the course of justice”. She’s now in the news for standing up for racial justice by calling out the Kellogg’s cereal company’s packaging, but oddly, in March of 2019, Onasanya was among 21 British MPs who voted against improved LGBT education in schools.
Now Onasanya has taken to social media to ask Kellogg’s to justify why Rice Krispies is represented with – quote – “three white boys” while the Coco Pops mascot is a monkey. (Note: What America calls Cocoa Krispies are called Cocoa Pops in Britain.)
Onasanya writes:
“Coco Pops and Rice Krispies have the same composition (except for the fact Cocoa Pops are brown and chocolate flavored)… so I was wondering why Rice Krispies have three white boys representing the brand and Coco Pops have a monkey?”
Over the years, Coco the Monkey has been an on-again/off-again mascot for Coco Pops/Cocoa Krispies. (It should be noted that the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, one of the largest charitable organizations in America, is very much a major funder of liberal causes.)
* Intentional or not, it’s there.
* I’m guessing Coco the Monkey is about to be an off-again mascot.
* How does that old saying go? “Then they came for my breakfast cereal, but there was no one left to speak for me, pass the sugar.”
* Would it help to know that Crackle is in transition?
* I wouldn’t want to be a Keebler Elf right now.
* Or one of the Seven Dwarves.
