FORK IN THE ROAD STOLEN
Somebody stole a fork in the road in Frankville, Ontario, Canada. For the last two years, a 10-foot silver fork sculpture has been sitting in the middle of Kitley Line 8 Road as it splits onto Leacock Road. It was the whimsical “Fork in the Road,” and now somebody’s taken it. Last week, the town’s landmark utensil was found bent over. Before it could be fixed, the next night it was stolen, removed from the large stone it was securely bolted to. Or not-so-securely. Town officials are looking to replace it or, better yet, hoping the thief just returns it.
* So they’re hoping the thief will fork it over, eh?
* Be on the lookout for Paul Bunyon, I guess.
* The took the fork in the road and split?
* Did they look over by the Slauson Cutoff?
* You know what they say: The tines, they are a-changin’.
* That’s it for this story. Stick a fork in it.
