FOOD NEWS: AMERICANS SNEAKING HEALTHY FOOD INTO THEIR PARTNER’S DIET
A new survey of 2,000 Americans by Fresh Avocados (* ’cause no one would take a survey from Soft Old Brown Avacados) finds that three-quarters of Americans say they are encouraging their loved ones to practice better nutritional habits. In addition, 65% admit to sneaking healthy ingredients into their loved one’s food.
* And that’s how the broccoli got into your jelly donut, sweetie.
* Yup, people are packin’ on pounds during Covid, it’s not pretty, and we’re starting to crack.
* Are the avocado people encouraging us to slip move avocados into someone’s food? Because you can’t slip an avocado into anything without someone knowing about it.
And in a related note: Reese’s Cups are now making “Organic Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups” that are certified USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified and Rainforest Alliance Certified. And Nestle has announced they’re coming out with a vegan-friendly KitKat bar.
* Isn’t it cute that these companies think there’s anything resembling real food in our candy bars?
* I find it hard to believe that when they invented Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in 1928, they were going to the rainforest for ingredients.
* A vegan KitKat bar? It’s “Gimme a break”, not “Gimme a steak.”
* PHONE TOPIC: Do you sneak nutrition into your partner’s or kid’s food? How?
