FAMILY FINDS HIPPO IN SWIMMING POOL

Among the joys of living in Botswana – a family woke up to find a hippopotamus swimming in their pool. Brent Reed, 47, said the giant male was discovered in his pool at the family home in Maun, Botswana, in the early hours of New Year’s Eve. The hippo hung around until New Year’s Day, and then managed to get out of the pool on its own and started grazing in the backyard. Mr. Reed said the hippo prompted a huge clean-up operation after leaving behind a mess in his pool.
* “No, YOU clean the pool filter.”
* And it obliterated the diving board.
* It started grazing in the backyard? So it was a Hungry Hungry Hippo.
