ENGAGEMENT RING MADE FROM NAIL CLIPPINGS

A Japanese man gave his girlfriend an engagement ring made from his nail clippings. The man saved his clipped nails in a jar for a year. To make the ring’s stone, he put them in a blender for 30 seconds until they became small bits, and then he used a coffee grinder to grind them into powder. He mixed the nail clipping powder with water, so that it formed a clump. He then compressed the mixture into a small pellet using a nut and bolt. Once the compressing was done, he placed the mixture into the oven for 90 minutes, which hardened it. Then he polished and shaped it with a custom mold that he created. But that’s not all – he also made a ring out of nail clippings, and set the stone in the ring. He gave it to his girlfriend, and she ran away screaming. No, not really. But it turned out the ring did not fit her finger.
* So he made her a booger brooch instead.
* And now he’s working on a sweater knitted from belly button lint.
* Call me crazy, but I would have made finding out her ring size Step One of this plan.
* It’s lucky they explained the whole process, so now we can do it, too.
