ELDERLY MAN ATTACKS CAR SALESMAN

An elderly man in Sarasota, Florida was arrested last Thursday after he allegedly attacked a car salesman with a golf club. Police say 83-year-old Linsey Owens drove to a Nissan car sale outside the Westfield Sarasota Square Mall to claim a promotional prize from a scratch-off ticket he received in the mail. But when car salesman Christian Robertson told Owens he would have to buy a car in order to get the prize, Owens became angry. When asked to leave, he got in his vehicle and began to swerve and speed at Robertson, who said the side mirror on the vehicle struck his arm before Owens stopped the car. Owens then got out of the vehicle, grabbed a golf club out of the trunk, and swung the club at Robertson, striking him in the face. The salesman, who suffered minor injuries, captured the whole incident on camera. The car salesman said he feels sorry for the elderly man and hopes he gets some anger management or counseling.
* Beating a car salesman? Wow – they really ARE the “Greatest Generation”!
* Hard to believe a car company would want to deceive people, much less the elderly.
* And by the way, that name “Christian” ain’t foolin’ anybody, pal.
* Making someone buy something to claim a prize? That’s misrepresenta- oh, wait. Car salesman. Never mind.
* The old man used a golf club, because the car salesman had a good lie.
* Talk about being T’d-off.
* This guy wouldn’t be related to Tiger Wood’s ex-wife, would he?
* Wow, it’s the end of the year and you just want to get your quota of cars sold so you can go home. Then this clown shows up.
* He didn’t get the prize but I bet the guy felt like beating the salesman was a good consolation prize.
