DOG RUNS AWAY DURING WALK, TURNS UP AT DOGGIE DAY CARE

A dog slipped out of her harness and ran away from her owner while out on a morning walk and made her way through the busy streets of Chicago to show up alone at her doggie daycare. Workers at the Canine Social Club in Chicago were perplexed Tuesday morning when a frequent guest, a Malamute named Izabella, followed another customer in through the front doors without any sign of her owner. The front desk manager, who recognized Izabella, called owner Linda Zimmer and told her the 15-month-old dog had arrived safely on her own.
* In Chicago, “safe” is a relative term. Izabella only had three bullet wounds, and in Chicago that means “unscathed”.
* You have to admit, walking around the same stupid block every morning gets boring.
* A dog is man’s best friend. Except for other dogs, I guess.
* Later, Izabella went shopping for Milkbones, treated herself to a grooming, and caught a cab home.
