DO YOU GIVE NAMES TO INANIMATE OBJECTS?

Fark.com asked people if they’ve given names to inanimate objects. A lot of people name their car, but other objects gets names, too. Some responses;
– “Ventilation hood over the stove was Hoodrow Wilson.”
– “My wife named her car Ping. It has dozens of golf ball size dents from a hail storm.”
– “Our shredder is Shreddy Lee, after the singer in Rush.”
– “We had a beta fish named Sid Fishous. He didn’t move very much.”
– “My weed wacker is Margaret deThatcher.”
– “I’ve had a Cindy Lopper and a Liam Nissan.”
– “My beloved bike has been named Squeaky.” (* Because it wants to assassinate Gerald Ford?)
– “Wife is driving a Chevy Malibu which she calls Barbie.”
– “Had a Ford Explorer for years we all called Dora.”
– “My wife has a Cadillac DeVille, which she has named Cruella, for obvious reasons.”
– “My Roomba is called Consuela, which is probably culturally insensitive.”
