DENVER AIRPORT INTRODUCES THERAPY CAT
Denver International Airport has a therapy dog program. It debuted in 2015 and now features more than 75 dogs who work in two-hour shifts, hanging around the terminal to get petted by nervous travelers. Now, the program has its first therapy cat. Xeli (ZEE-lee) is a 12-pound domestic short-hair. The registered therapy cat and her human companion will be available from 2 to 3 p.m. Xeli trading cards will be handed out and there will be opportunities to take pictures of Xeli on her cat tree.
* But the more fun pictures are when she’s chased through the airport by the therapy dogs.
* “She’s peeing on your luggage. That means she likes you.”
* Service cats. Because it’s cheaper for the airlines than making the flying experience more enjoyable.
* It’s Colorado. Shouldn’t there be a therapy buffalo?
* Therapy dogs and cats? What if your phobia is small animals?
* Dogs and cats at the airport. Soon they’re going to need a Therapy Shoecleaner.
