DALAI LAMA CONFIRMS: IF THE NEXT ONE’S A WOMAN, SHE BETTER BE HOT
In a 2015 BBC interview, the Dalai Lama ruffled feathers when he said if his successor is female, she “must be attractive, otherwise it is not much use” because “then people I think prefer not [to] see that face.” In a new interview with BBC reporter Rajini Vaidyanathan, the spiritual guru, now 83, repeated his belief that “if [a] female Dalai Lama comes, then she should be more attractive.” Vaidyanathan asked whether he understood why his remarks sparked outrage. “There’s an opportunity to ask whether they spent some money for makeup,” he replied. “I think they must do something.”
* They must spend some money for makeup? Who does he think will replace him – Mrs. Shrek?
* Somebody tell him he’s no Brad Pitt himself.
* At least he didn’t say she should have big breasts.
* He thought it but he didn’t say it.
* All she has to do is look good in maroon and gold.
* It’s not like she’s going to be posing in PlayBodhisattva magazine.
