CRUISE LINE ENDS COVID TESTING, MASKING, VACCINATIONS

Norwegian Cruise Line announced Monday that it is removing all COVID-19 testing, masking and vaccination requirements. The cruise line says its decision was based on the “significant, positive progress in the public health environment” in a press release. The company believes its updated health and safety guidelines are now more aligned with other global travel organizations. Said Harry Sommer, Norwegian Cruise Line president, “Health and safety are always our first priority; in fact, we were the health and safety leaders from the very start of the pandemic.”
* I’d like to see the data on that, but good for you.
* Translation: “Look, vaccinated people keep getting re-infected, so can we please just rock and roll?”
* The cruise industry has lost billions. I wonder what food will be at the buffet stations? Mac’n’cheese? PB&J? Pop-Tarts?
* Cool! Now all we have to worry about on a cruise is E. coli, norovirus, and dysentery.
