CITY DUMPED CHICKEN MANURE IN PARK TO DISCOURAGE GATHERING
The city of Lund, Sweden dumped 2,000 pounds of chicken manure in their park to deter festival crowds from gathering amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Walpurgis Night festival kicked off on Thursday which traditionally brings in the crowds. While there is no official lockdown in Sweden, officials throughout the country have warned people to stay away from the yearly tradition in order to limit the potential spread of the virus. The town council believes the chicken manure will have an added benefit, fertilizing the lawn in the park.
* Walpurgis, as in, “Hey, who dumped a ton of Walpurgis in the park?”
* Imagine how long it took to pick 2,000 pounds of chicken manure out of their litter boxes.
* For a country that eats lutefisk, is the smell of chicken crap really going to keep people away?
* Any way you look at it, this is the crappiest Walpurgis Night festival they’ve ever had.
* In America, to deter crowds, they bring a big screen into the parks and show the movie “Cats”.
