CHINA LOCKS THOUSANDS INSIDE SHANGHAI DISNEYLAND FOR COVID TESTING

Shanghai Disneyland was full of thousands of people on Sunday. While guests were enjoying the rides, staff quietly sealed the amusement park. People in Hazmat suits streamed in, to test everyone for Covid-19 before they could leave for the day. The process lasted until midnight. China has an aggressive contact tracing effort, and a woman who traveled to Shanghai from nearby Hangzhou over the weekend had tested positive. They don’t know if she went to Disneyland, but, well, you can’t be too careful. Nearly 34,000 people underwent testing on their way out of the park, then were ordered to isolate at home for two days, and be re-tested for the coronavirus in two weeks.
* So… they got Shanghaied, literally?
* Shanghai Disneyland – The Swab-iest Place on Earth!
* Trapped inside an amusement part. Just a little like “Squid Game,” no?
* Everybody had to get tested, or if you spent more than $50 at one of the gift shops you got a Fast Pass to leave early.
* That suspected carrier might have gone to Disneyland because, y’know, it’s a small world after all.
