CHICKEN RUSTLERS CAUGHT
A police officer in Seekonk, Massachusetts pulled over a suspicious vehicle about 1 a.m. Sunday morning. He noticed a backpack in the back seat begin to move, and then he saw a feather poking through. Eventually an entire wing popped out. Seven chickens were inside the backpack. Seekonk police have received reports of several chickens, ducks and rabbits being stolen from local farms. The man, 20, and the woman, 18, in the car, were arrested on larceny and animal cruelty charges. The chickens were returned to the owner.
