BROTHERS IN COURT FOR DESTROYING FAMILY HOUSE

In Australia, two brothers are in court this week after they allegedly used an excavator to destroy their late parents’ house – just to spite their sister. Malcolm and Garry Taylor are due to be sentenced in Victoria’s County Court on Friday after pleading guilty to criminal damage. Back in March of 2019, the two brothers had travelled from their homes in Queensland to disrupt the sale of the home in Murtoa – a 21 hour drive. The family house was due to sell for $99,000 but, as soon as the brothers caught wind of the sale, they rented a backhoe and used it to smash through windows and damage the interior. They texted their sister Kerrie-Ann Taylor, with video of them destroying the home. Kerrie-Ann had been named the sole executor of her mother’s will. The brothers contested the will, but lost. The damaged house went on to sell for a just $7500, divided evenly between the three siblings. Brother Malcolm has admitted the family feud was long and deep, telling the TV show A Current Affair, “We haven’t spoken to the maggot for seven or eight years,” referring to his sister. It’s expected that the brothers will walk away from court with fines.
* Interesting. I never knew Australia had hillbillies.
* What’s the opposite of a fixer-upper? A wrecker-downer?
* Meanwhile the house was thinking “What did I do???”
* So the brothers could have had $33,000 each, but instead got $2500 each, less the cost of travel, the cost of the backhoe rental, and now the court fines. Geniuses.
* Kids, this is what happens when you don’t let your little brothers play with your toys.
* This has been today’s edition of the Grudge Report.
