BRISKET SMOKER STOLEN
In Albuquerque, New Mexico, a thief stole a 200-gallon meat smoker from the parking lot of Pepper’s Ole Fashion BBQ between midnight and 5 a.m. Sunday. The smoker, a 1700-pound apparatus that sits atop a two-wheel trailer, was cooking up a batch of brisket when it was taken. Owner Daniel Morgan said most of the meat the restaurant serves is prepared in an indoor barbecue pit and he uses the custom built apparatus for catering gigs. He says replacing the $5,800 smoker and the trailer it was sitting on will be a stretch.
* Are you telling me they can’t find a police dog to track that thing?
* Hell, I bet there’s some deputy who could do it.
* 200 gallons of smoked brisket, or as Kevin James calls it, “brunch”.
* Meals on Wheels?
* Pepper’s Ole Fashion BBQ should have had an Ole Fashion Garage.
* I bet it was bears attracted to the smell of beef.
* If they catch the guy, I hope police grill ‘im.
