BAKERY OFFERS "PERIOD BROWNIES" SUBSCRIPTION

A new bakery in Olympia, Washington is hoping to capitalize on the idea of women scarfing baked goods during their time of the month. New Agey Moon Cycle Bakery will launch sign-ups December 15. Women can enroll in the subscription service and, using an app that’s the “first-ever period tracker with an e-commerce element,” pick up treats like Coconut Bites and Raspberry Black Bean Brownies. The Moon Cycle treats contain ingredients like gamma-linolenic acid and magnesium, which the bakery claims alleviate PMS symptoms and replace necessary nutrients. Sign up at mooncyclebakery.com.
* Well THAT just set feminism back a few years.
* It’s so unfair: What do men have? Dollar Shave Club.
* Woe to the mailman who’s late with the delivery.
* Raspberries and black beans in one brownie. Aren’t these women suffering enough?
* Coconut Bites, and so does this idea.
* What happens when someone hacks the bakery’s data base of periods? Some nefarious tampon company, for instance.
