So, this woman gets into an Uber Cab in Ohio. And … well, this is what happened. (Play audio below) Twitter user Brandee Barker learned that Elwood Edwards, AOL’s “You’ve Got Mail” voice, was her Uber driver.
* So the answer is, no, he was not getting royalties.
* Not exactly a “Brush with Greatness,” but, whatever.
* That’s worth at least a buck tip.
* Next, Brandee Barker learns the guys moving her furniture are the guys who sing “We are Farmers – Bum-de-bum-bum, Bum-bum-bum!”
* That reminds me: when’s Flo from Progressive going to come back down to earth?
* Yes, this is quite an unlikely twist, but if you take each step and analyze it, you can see it was almost inevitable.
* Start with the need to keep working. I put that at 100%.
* Then factor in the lack of jobs in this country right now, and the Uber thing makes more sense.
* Finally, you’ve got the certainty that somebody was going to run into the dude in a country this size.
