AUDIO: THE SPOOKY SPACE SOUNDS OF HALLOWEEN, FROM NASA

Just in time for Halloween, NASA has released its “Sinister Sounds of the Solar System” – a collection of audio made from recordings of plasma waves, planetary auroras, X-rays and other space events that have been rendered into sound for human ears. In other words, if sound could travel in space, this is probably what it would sound like.

* In space, no one can hear you scream, because of all this awful noise.
* Attention, NASA Scientists: Don’t quit your day jobs.
* This is like early Pink Floyd, but with more melody.
* I thought space music was gonna be rockin’ 70’s tracks, like in Guardians of the Galaxy.
* This isn’t at all like The Blue Danube, from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
