AUDIO: THE SOUND OF A BLACK HOLE
NASA has unveiled audio of a black hole from 200 million light-years away. NASA says there is a misconception that there is no sound in space because most space is a vacuum, providing no way for sound waves to travel. But, according to NASA, “A galaxy cluster has so much gas that we’ve picked up actual sound. Here it’s amplified, and mixed with other data, to hear a black hole!” This sound is from a star cluster called Perseus.
* But then, you could tell that by its accent.
* They cut out the part where an eight-year-old alien tried to ruin it by making a fart sound.
* So there is sound in space, and everything I know is wrong. The Moon is made of cheese, and astronauts DO have to go to the bathroom in space.
* Hey – NASA! You’re launching a rocket to the moon next week. GET BACK TO WORK.

CLIP: But if you play the sound of a black hole BACKWARDS, you hear something very interesting. See if you can hear it!
