AUDIO: PROPELLER BREAKS OFF, FLIES THROUGH PLANE WINDOW INTO CABIN

On Monday, an Airlink Airline plane – a Jetstream JS-4 – was approaching the runway in South Africa when a bird struck the propeller on the right wing. The force was so great that a blade from the propeller snapped off, knifed through the fuselage of the aircraft and hit the wall on the other side of the cabin, smashing the window pane on the opposite side. Amazingly, the entire row where the propeller blade went through was unoccupied by passengers. No one was hurt and the plane landed safely.
* The bird, not so lucky.
* If this is what happens to their planes, no wonder there were so few passengers on board.
* Wasn’t this scene in “Final Destination 4”?
* In airplane lingo, this is called a “Sully.”
* “Jetstream – Our aircraft are almost as strong as birds!”
