AUDIO: PILOT PROPOSES TO FLIGHT ATTENDANT

On December 23, just before a SkyWest flight from Detroit to Oklahoma City, pilot Jon Emerson came out of the cockpit to talk to the passengers. He announced the flight time and that turbulence was expected at 36,000 feet. Then he asked flight attendant Lauren Gibbs to come to the front of the plane and said, “You all don’t know this, but this is a very special day for Lauren and me. It’s our anniversary today … and I want this day to be known for the rest of our lives. I want to spend the rest of my life with her, together.” Emerson dropped to one knee, pulled out a ring and said, “Lauren, will you marry me?” Bursting into tears, Gibbs said yes.
* The he grabbed her in a holding pattern and kissed her nonstop.
* And then a jealous co-pilot stormed off the airplane.
* “Also, folks, if you feel a little turbulence during the flight, don’t worry – that will be us.”
* Marrying one of your six co-workers? What – too lazy to go out and meet people?
* “Congratulations, honey. Now can you get me some coffee and a blanket?”
